Notes: The blue train is from the Shooting Star (1968-1986) at the now defunct Lakeside Amusement Park in Salem, Virginia USA. Al Rubano was the construction supervisor for this ride.
Structure: Wooden structure is painted white. Sea green track with lavender railings. Main train is red with black side steps while the other is blue.
Elements: Three turnarounds. Dispatched trains travel beneath the 3rd and 6th hills respectively.
Features: Unique queuing line whereby riders unhook their own plastic guard chain before entering the ride. Also there is a metal bar on each car preventing passengers from exiting out the right side. Manual skid brakes.
History: This coaster was originally built for the Grand Strand park, which opened in 1966, and was saved from destruction even though the park itself had closed. It survived damage from Hurricane Hugo in 1989 and underwent extensive repairs. After a two year park hiatus the former park was purchased and restored by the Ammons family, owners of Sea Mist Resort. Swamp Fox proudly reopened sometime in 1991 in the new Family Kingdom Amusement Park.

An overall good ride - short enough that one can continue to ride over and over. It has decent air time, what we've come to expect from John Allen. The braking is smooth. I rate it 7 's
