Arrangement: Riders are arranged 2 across, 4 seats per car for a total capacity of 24 riders.
Notes: This is based on Silberpfeil (Silver Arrow), a Schwarzkopf portable single looping design. Originally the park actually had a Schwarzkopf Looping Star coaster and replaced it in 2001 with a Silver Arrow design while keeping the same name.
Structure: Weighs in at approximately 280 tons. Approximately 130 Kilowatts of power is needed for operation. Orange track & reddish brown column supports, train cars are black with white trim.
Elements: Banked drop, 39.4 ft (12 m) vertical loop, sweeping spirals, tight double-helix.
Features: The next year after Looping Star was unveiled the Silberpfeil was rolled out. This new model took up less space and the vertical loop went to 40 ft as opposed to 46 ft. Only three installations were ever produced. The first was purchased by Robrahn, a german company, in 1979 where it traveled the circuit with german fairs. Today it is actually making the rounds throughout Africa. Then in 1981, a permanent installation was ordered by Busch Gardens Tampa Bay in the form of Scorpion. The third and final is profiled here.

History: Relocated from Camelot Park in Chorley, England as its main ride, there it was known as the beloved Tower of Terror. Here it was around 100 ft tall and was one of the staple attractions. This portable Silver Arrow model (unlike Scorpion at BGT) wrapped itself around a unique castle actually nearly enclosing the vertical loop. In 2000, Camelot was to dismantle the ride, completely overhaul, and give it a fresh coat of paint (always good). However as they often do, fire broke out (from cutting torch sparks) completely destroying the castle and scorching the coaster itself. This did not bode well and the ride was sold and moved to Dreamland - to be replaced with the only Vekoma Invertigo in the UK. Planning officials refused to allow the ride and thus lost it forever. Now that Dreamland has closed, it was leased by the Bembom Brothers, the ride was relocated in 2003 to Loudoun Castle in Scotland as Twist n Shout.

Rides a lot like Scorpion; I feel lucky to have ridden two of the three Silver Arrows in the world. I rate it 4 's
