The Experience

* Arrangement: Riders are arranged 2 across, 4 seats per car for a total of 24 riders per train.
* Notes: The park desired a very smooth coaster along with minimal lateral G-forces so the entire family could ride. It also needed to be built in and around a protected grove of trees. Intamin enlisted the help of designer Werner Stengel who after some time proudly announced this was "an absolute Rolls Royce of a ride". It originally was called Montaña Cibernetica (Cybernetic Roller Coaster).
* Structure: Uses a three-pipe track array. Pea green track with sea green column supports. Also pea green trains with pale lemon yellow restraints.
* Elements: After the initial cyclonic drop, you tear into a vertical loop, blow into a sweeping turn, twirl your way into another vertical loop, roar like an oncoming train in around the shade trees, whirl through a corkscrew, and finally twist into a double helix before coming to a stop.
* Features: Intamin's first two-seater, SLC coaster with a regular chain lift since linear motors were introduced in its product line. Utilizes a quiet anti-rollback system and magnetic brakes.

The Verdict
Generally the train won't run unless a quota of 29 or so riders is met to prevent a rollback, and you can forget about sitting where you want. I was placed in row 2, then after buckled in moved to row 5 for no apparent reason. This coaster feels a lot faster than it looks. but then again when have ever taken a Tornado for granted. A nice smooth ride with pockets of tornadic activity so let's call this one an F3.
I rate it 5 Star's
