Gwazi, at BGT is a monumental dueling woodie built by GCI (Great coasters internatinal)Gwazi offers huge drops, long bankd turns, and a dueling sensation. Built in 1999.
Thunderhawk is a PTC 1925 built (Remodled in the 70s)Out and back with a figure 8 twist. Its a little rough but it offers an incredibly steep drop, a long downward swooping turn, and high speed bunny hop hills. Located at Dorney park, Allentown PA.

Ive ridden both, but I wanted to see other peoples opinion the woodie, Whether you like the modern twister (Gwazi) or the clasic out and back (Thunderhawk)

i was on lion on gwazi. but not tiger. -sigh- I was also 6 yeras younger, so I was still iffy on coasters. It was really my first "big" coaster. better airtime on thunderhawk since gci coasters are not known for airtime, but both are great rides. Gwazi

Now I haven't rode Thunderhawk but Gwazi is something else!!! It is the craziest wooden I have been on and it is creepy. The clanking tracks, the steep drops, and the sharp turns all add to the fun!!! Try Gwazi at night if you haven't, totally different feel to it ;-)
