Now that I've offended a few about my comments towards private parks, I was wondering if anyone here had ever been to BobLo Island in Amhertsburgh, Ontario? It's been closed since 1994, and though it didn't have Millenium Force, Goliath or even Son of Beast, there coasters were alright, and it was a nice park with no big line ups. It's odd that I stumble upon this web site tonight, for today I had just photographed the dillapated old building that once was the Boblo ticket counter in Amhestberg. I remember standing, and standing, and then standing some more, waitin

My family used to go there every year when I was a kid. It was a great place. I remember that I always had a great time there. The boat ride back from the island to Detroit was probably the best. There would be music and dancing the whole trip back.
Hey Neonviper, the park closed in a really crummy hostile take over kinda way. The park had been bought by the company that owned the Globetrotters, the Ice Capades, and had turned around many failing Six Flags. What happened is the heart behind the wan
