Accident at Holiday World leaves one dead

Spencer County authorities were investigating an incident at Holiday World &
Splashin' Safari in Santa Claus, Ind., that left one person dead and one
injured.
According to the Spencer County dispatch office, police and ambulance services
were called to the amusement park at 8:11 p.m. Saturday.
Paula Werne, the director of public relations for the park said there had been
a fatality at the park involving a ride and that the park would be closed today
out of respect for the family.
Spencer County police officials and and the county coroner were not available
Saturday night.
