Hey everyone I'm new to the forum so its good to meet yall.I got some info the hottest new rides of 2001. This list of new rides in this site names them but I'll let you know(if you don't already) which are the best and innovative and the best parks to visit. Only for people who love extreme rides.
First of all there there's the Nitro at six flags great adventure. 230-foot ascend followed by a 215 foot drop at 80 mph and that's only the beggining. The biggest and best ride at the park that already boasts a record scoring 11 other great rides making 12 coasters, including notables medusa, batman the ride, and the great american scream machine. I highly suggest you visit this park.
second the The hypersonic XLC at paramounts kings dominion(one of my personal favorite coaster parks). This one is killer. step 1. launch 80 mph in 1.8 seconds, step 2, rocket straight up and over a 17 story 90 degree vertical tower. step 3, Mad air-time. step 4 ,plunge straight down the other side, Step 5. a few high speed turns and bunny slopes, step 6. safely back to the station. I'm drooling right now. Critics are already going gaga for this one and it's not even open yet. Other notables at kings Dominion. 11 coasters in all. The volcano blast coaster is unbelievable, any coaster enthuisiast must go on it. next The 1996 coaster of the year, the flight of fear. and for historically the shockwave, the first standup coaster ever. that's pretty wild.
The next ride is the dejavu which is the next generation in boomerange coaster. Just think really fast and tall. about 196-foot vertical drop, 3 102-foot inversions at 65 mph fowards and backwards. this one is at six flags magic mountain(my other favorite coaster park). Like they don't already have an incredible park, they go and build this after I move. notables are pretty much all the rides there. the superman escape, the fastes coaster in the world, is insane. The Goliath is a 255 foot beast. The first drop is unreal. dejavu is also at six flags over goergia. never been there.
This next one is by far the most innovative. the V2 vertical velocity. technically called a suspended spyraling impulser, but its basically a bommeraing coaster, but adds a whole new twist, literally. rocket off to 70 mph in 4 seconds. than straight up a spiraling 185-foot track. than back down through the station boosting the car another 70 mph up a 185 foot straight track. Just when you think it's over and back to the station you're rocketed off again for another go around. I've seen pictures for this ride and it looks spectacular. this one isat six flags marine world and great america. I've been to marine world before this ride was built and it's more like sea world than a traditional park. don't know much anything about great america.
Well those are the most exiting in my opinion. another notable ride that isn't listed at the top is, the titan, also brand new for 2001 at six flags over texas. Other older, buy notable rides are the steel phantom at dorney park, the hulk at universal studios, son of the beast at kings island, mellinium force at cedar point, the superman ride of steel at six flags america, and many many more. Aslo at Universal studios is spiderman the ride, though not a coaster, is an experience you won't find anywhere else, very sweet.
