Pictures: I took over 300. I accidently deleted them on my camera. I'll probably go back later this month to get some different ones.

Anyway, here is the park story. On Friday at 8:00 p.m. the season pass processing center would close. This is the last night to get them for $50.00. The next day, Saturday, they would be $76.00. At about 7:00 Friday my dad told me he was thinking about getting season passes. After a very quick discussion, we drove 15 minutes to get five season passes. We got out 10 minutes before the place closed. So lucky...

The Park:
We arrived at the park around 2:30-3:00. I had a piano lesson and wasn't able to make it until then. When you go off of the exit, you go down a long road to get to the park. Right by the park, they built a hotel, which you also pass. Approaching the parking toll booths, several LCD signs give you the daily info. Parking is $5. The parking lot is rather small and needs to be expanded. Right next to it however, is a construction site which appears that they are going to make it larger. We were lucky enough to get a front spot. Before you cross the bridge to the park, there is a little round-about. In the middle is a HUGE American flag. Then you must cross a beautiful bridge to get to either the JW Theater or the park entrance. On the bridge, we heard a woman who was leaving saying that the park was not as crowded as she thought it would be. YAY!!!

The entrance already showed a wonderful job on theming, along with many admission booths. When you first walk into the park, there are nice little shops and restaurants on both sides, again, very well themed. I call this area "Main Street". Pretty original, huh? At the end of Main Street is the Train Depot, which I will talk about later. The end corners of Main Street, on the right is Coldstone Creamery, and on the left is some little restaurant. Aside from this, there were hardly any people here! 1) It's opening day, 2) It's a Saturday! Where are all the people? I now knew that this would be a good day.

The first ride that I hopped on was the Crazy Mouse. I needed a new credit, seems how I haven't gotten one in like three years! Walking to the coaster, there are signs of new trees, along with a fancy wood wall. Well, it wasn't real fancy, but it was just to cover up an employee area. There isn't much grass in the park, since it's been a construction area, but grass is being planted. At the beginning of the quene line for Crazy Mouse, they had a man dressed in old fashion clothes. They evened themed the people!!! I waited about 20-25 minutes for Crazy Mouse. It was a little painful I thought, but it was fun. Kinda short if you ask me. But it definitely exeded my expectations. My next ride was the Jumping Bean. A Moser Spring Ride. I did not expect it to be that much of a thrill. It had airtime and you even came out of your seat! Then we headed to the Indian themed area of the park. To get there from where I was at, the Mexican/Texan section, you have to go through a "game alley".

Upon entering the Indian area, there is some nice little restaurants and the Kanza Kanoe. It was closed due to wind. So was the Screamin Eagle. (The Flying Scooters). My first ride in this area was the Sidewinder, a Moser frisbee type thing. Again, it was a little short but fun. Two people puked on it! One in the early afternoon, one in the late afternoon. Good times. Good times. The log flume was still under construction and some of the parts were right by the railroad tracks waiting to be put up. They had a small show in a Gazebo, called "The Heart of Country". They had some nice, old country music being performed there. Right next to it, is Red River BBQ. I think that's what it's called.

Now we get into the Kansas Area. My first ride was the Cowboy Country Himalaya. It even had airtime!!! It was definitely the best Himalaya that I have ever been on. It had double-ups and double-downs. Then I went on the Bronco Buster. Good name! The Bronco Buster is a Fajume Wacky Worm. Nothing special about it. I went back to the Himalaya and saw one of my friends, Zach, waiting in line. I jumped in line with him and we hung out the rest of the day. He was a big chicken so I rode the big rides with his aunt.

Stampede, also known as the Bumper Cars, is what we rode next. The bumper arena is so tiny, and there are way too many cars in it. They need to make it bigger. The Condor is right by Stampede, and was still being put together. I can't wait till it's done! So then for the rest of the day, we just picked and chose what rides to do. I rode Crazy Mouse two more times. The second, I got three bruises that are still visible today. The Wild West World Train or whatever it's called was very nice. It took you around the lake and the ride op explained a little bit about the rides that we passed.

I have only three complaints about the park. They have designated smoking areas in the park, and the Crazy Mouse quene is not one of them. I was behind a guy who decided that it was okay to smoke with high wind, so I had to smoke it too. Disgusting. That rule kinda plays in with the next one. The staff at Wild West World were just okay. No employee bothered to tell the man to stop smoking, nor did they care that people were not fastening seatbelts. On crazy mouse, I was putting on my seatbelt, and the guy starts pulling the lap bar down! I had to wedge my arms out of there just to not be in more pain! On the Bronco Buster, some kids were putting their arms out and touching the supports, which is against the rules. The staff just stared. Another kid hopped a fence and stood on it and balanced on it and everything that you can imagine, he did to it. An employee walked by, looked at the kid, and kept going. The staff here really need to shape up. The Jumping Bean employee was probably the worst. When he let the harnesses up, and you held onto yours, it would latch down. People were staying on, only to let two people get on the next time. My third complaint is of the rides arm room. Our arms were pinched so tight in these rides. It was unbearable.

So the park gets a 7/10 from me. The place was very nicely themed and beautiful. My friend and his family are actually from California and his aunt says that she would take WWW anyday compared to California parks. WWW is a very nice place for families and Kansas' only "real" fun place. I will be back soon, Hopefully, with my camera!
