ok with the introduction of Dragster at Cedar Point..and standing at an astounding 420 feet..and a mind boggling 120 mph ...have we gone to far?
or do you think this is the begening of something great..(personelly..i hope they still get bigger badder ..and better..but thats just me )

Top Thrill just might deliver "Top Thrills". But when you say punishing coaster. I would have to say Goudrix. This coaster at Parc Asterix in France REALLY makes you pay.

Easily, The Beast at Paramounts Kings Island, with The Rattler at Six Flags Fiesta Texas a close second.... Both left me bruised and battered..

If You're talking about sheer physical pain, my vote is for Drachen Fire at BGW. It's closed now, I hear because of roughness/breakdown issues. Too bad, I loved it. They even tried removing one of the inversions. Close second, the TOGO stand-up

and i agree with the vote for King Cobra..that was a painful ride ...i still remeber the pain ..(or was that the time my seat fell of my bike in the middle of jump..hehe .just kidding)..but it did hurt ..and rember thinking that would be the last time i e

I dont see how anyone could go on any rough coaster and like it. well i guess i like some rough coasters but at sfmw medusa is really smooth

I guess that for me the roughness of a ride is part of the experience. I am big enough that I don't usually hit my head on the horsecollars, and I find the imperfections refreshing. Besides it feels so good when the ride ends...

Drachen Fire! What a great ride! The warning signs about removing sun glasses and earings to reduce head injuries was hilarious, should have just said NO WIMPS ALLOWED! I only got to ride it 2 times, went back to BGW the next year and they stoped operatin

Yeah, Drachen Fire hurt like heck, but try riding in the back seat, outside seat of X ... Thank goodness I rode that seat last thing in the evening, cause I had the world's worst headache and backache, I never would have made it on anything else that d

The most punishing coaster i've been on had to be the crystal beach cyclone. It closed in 1989 .it was right across the lake from cedar point. The coaster was so bad thatThey had a nurse on the platform if anyone got hurt. But after the park closed dow
