ok with the introduction of Dragster at Cedar Point..and standing at an astounding 420 feet..and a mind boggling 120 mph ...have we gone to far?

Top Thrill just might deliver "Top Thrills". But when you say punishing coaster. I would have to say Goudrix. This coaster at Parc Asterix in France REALLY makes you pay.
If You're talking about sheer physical pain, my vote is for Drachen Fire at BGW. It's closed now, I hear because of roughness/breakdown issues. Too bad, I loved it. They even tried removing one of the inversions. Close second, the TOGO stand-up

I guess that for me the roughness of a ride is part of the experience. I am big enough that I don't usually hit my head on the horsecollars, and I find the imperfections refreshing. Besides it feels so good when the ride ends...
